TGIF. If you’re not spending your weekend cooped up in various study boxes crying over how many midterms you have, this is the perfect outfit for a night out! On top I am wearing an asymmetrical top that can be worn several ways – essentially its just a circle of cloth with arm holes that can be draped over your torso however which way. This item was thrifted. On bottom I am wearing a short black pencil skirt by Bloom, and flats by HotCakes.
The main statement of this outfit is, of course, the gold necklace and bracelet set! These were sent to me from OKA Jewelry, and I can’t say I’ve every owned anything like it! It’s out of my comfort zone, but once I experimented with it, I saw many wardrobe combination possibilities.
So this is what I came up with! I think that the gold goes very nicely with dark navy. I feel like this jewelry will also go great with the “little black dress.” Another possibility would be to wear this jewelry for Halloween! OKA Jewelry also sells a great deal of costume jewelry for fun occasions. I imagine the necklace would go well with an Egyptian-styled costume.
Hope this is of inspiration for a fancy Friday.

Yet another fall outfit (when it’s still way too hot for sweaters)! But hey, I like to be prepared. Fall and winter are seriously the only seasons I actually utilize my skirts, so I couldn’t stop myself from going crazy with the fall outfits on my blog.
Also, has anyone ever listened to the song Sweater Weather by The Neighborhood? If you haven’t, do it now.

It’s that time of year again! Probably the best excuse to buy new clothing and shoes… and supplies of course. Unfortunately, my school doesn’t start until late September, but most students are going back within the the next couple of weeks. So, I am now starting my back to school collection, featuring outfits for school, my college dorm haul, and fall inspiration.
For now I’d thought I’d start off with these new shoes I got from The Shoe Department. Every year I get a new pair of classic black flats. They go perfectly with dark skinny jeans and sweaters, which I plan on styling in the fall. The second pair I got are these metallic sandals that are more appropriate for August and early September when the weather is still warm enough for shorts and skirts. My advice: switch out boring, old flip flops for some decorative sandals this school year! The nail polish I am wearing is Mint Sprint by Sally Hansen.
Warning: this color does not look good on finger nails.
Stay tuned for more back to school hauls!
